We supply trusted Siemens PLM technology for:
There are two options – NX CAE or NX Nastran – available for your product analysis requirements. NX™ for Simulation utilises the market leading simulation tool Nastran solver – originally developed by NASA – to bring finite element analysis (FEA) to a designer level. This serves to relieve possible bottlenecks by removing the need to allocate work to analysts and structural engineers, helping save you time.
Take real world scenarios that could impact on your designs and simulate them in a virtual environment. Then easily document results of this validation with fully customisable templates for consistency and quality. Make use of a simulation navigator that assists new users and helps to increase the efficiency of those more experienced. We provide training in the use of Nastran integrated with NX to ensure you’re getting the most from the software.
Whether you are an advanced analyst or design engineer, NX CAE integrates best-in-class modelling with simulation solutions into a single environment. These include:
Additional benefits can be realised when used in conjunction with NX CAD, such as seamless data transfer between your design team and analysis team. Although, NX CAE does not require NX CAD and can be used as a standalone pre/postprocessor because of the support for multi-CAD geometry and external CAE solvers.
NX™ Nastran® – Basic is the core subset of NX Nastran software and includes a robust suite of linear statics, normal modes, buckling analyses, heat transfer and basic non-linear capabilities. NX Nastran – Basic can play a key role in your virtual product development process by providing the most widely used CAE solutions for digital prototyping and simulation of product functional performance.
Available as a standalone solver or integrated in NX CAE.
NX Nastran solves most structural analysis problems for linear and non-linear analysis, dynamics, acoustics, rotor dynamics, aeroelasticity and optimisation. This simplifies your task because input/output file formats are the same for all solution types.
Two distinct parallel processing capabilities are offered by NX Nastran; shared memory parallel processing (SMP) and distributed memory processing (DMP). SMP is the preferred technology for either multiprocessor nodes with shared memory or processor nodes with multiple cores. While DMP can provide much higher levels of scalability for major computational challenges such as large system-level static and dynamic analyses.
NX Nastran includes unique features such as simplified component connectivity, superelements to simplify complex FE modeling, automatic dependency conflict resolution, and direct interfaces to multibody dynamics (MBD) solutions.
NX Nastran is able to tackle a variety of advanced applications, such as composites analysis in the aerospace industry, NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) problems in the automotive industry, complex coupled thermo-structural problems in electronics, and a number of other industries.
The option to write your own applications and add add your own custom analysis modules with the direct matrix abstraction program (DMAP) is available to you in NX Nastran. You can also combine third-party solvers for coupled analysis.
As announced at our Digital University event at Silverstone on 30th October, Majenta PLM Limited changed its name to OnePLM Ltd.
The renaming of our business is a natural development following the merger with Cutting Edge Solutions in June. Both companies will soon adopt a common branding and communications network.
This will enable us to be united in delivering an enhanced service for the benefit of our customers. It’s still business as usual today but we will inform you of any changes and the completed transition soon.
